And now we have VERY CAREFULLY AND GENTLY unbraided our two ends until we get to the pins. Lay your braid flat on the table (not twisted) with the ends upright so you can see all your pins, and "Leave it be"! Now is the time to sit on your hands if you are a "fiddly" kind of person. This is important...much of the rest of the process should be done without picking up and disturbing your braid.
And here is one of the braid ends of the "snipped" tri-color braid, unbraided past the snips (which are impossible to see in these photos, but they are there...promise!).
