BUTTING A BRAID - Page 22 of 22

The top photos show the completely sewn butted braid - but the looseness needs to be fed back into the braid at each end. Starting at the middle of the loose part, gently rebraid in both directions, one at a time, easing the extra length back into the braid until the braid is uniform. Remember that each of your three strands are free-floating, not being sewn to each other, so each one can be eased forward or backward a bit to hide your seams.

VOILA! Your braid is butted. Congratulations!
